Decided to treat myself after getting off the bus from work, my stop was right in front of this place and thought "why not?"
I'm not a native here and my mom is all the way back in the east coast, so living here sometimes makes me miss her cooking, her Menudo/Mondongo.
I've tried out different spots, and they haven't really gotten it right, EXCEPT FOR THIS PLACE.
Their Menudo tasted just like my mom's, and I was so happy!!! The tripe was so SO SO SOFT and easy to eat, the broth was so good, I sorta just inhaled it all. They give you little condiments if you want to add them, which is nice.
I'll be back!!! -

I wasn't blown away by this food, and considering estamos en California I had higher expectations. The tacos al pastor were underwhelming; there was mostly pineapple-marinated onions rather than actual pineapple, and the meat itself wasn't incredibly impressive. I had an even less impressive carnitas taco, which, while the sauce was great, everything else about it was rather mediocre. Now, I know you're probably like "why would you get a taco in Koreatown?" but let me tell you that tacos aren't bound by geography, especially when you're in the same city as some great gems. I thought the novelty of it being an actual outside stand was nice since I'm not from LA, but other than that I definitely could have gotten better tacos from the place down the block in South Philly.

I've had better. The meat was definitely over cooked and a little salty. the nachos was soggy and that was weird because we ate there.
Okay that's it

False advertising ; the breakfast burritos are $6 instead of $3 which is fine but keep it real. Secondly the lady got mad when I asked to have a 2nd Hot Sauce the clerk lady appeared agitated. Barely any vegetarian options. I went on 5/20/19 & I will not be back. My burrito had eggs & hash browns SMH

In my ongoing quest for some of the
more unique and best breakfast burritos in LA, I discovered this Koreatown taco stand known for its fresh grill-roasted chicken. I decided to customize one of their BREAKFAST BURRITOS by substituting my customary bacon filling with a healthier option--their popular fresh barbecue grilled chicken-- right off their outdoor grill. It was stuffed with egg and stewed pinto beans (much healthier than traditional refried beans). This "grandote" burrito could have easily served two (I wrapped half of mine up in foil to have for breakfast tomorrow morning). Normally their breakfast burritos are only a bargain $5.50 for their humongous size, but I paid an extra dollar to include the fresh shredded roasted chicken which was "muy deliciosa." They have decent homemade red and green salsas to accompany their food as well.
The "A rating atmosphere here is ultra simple with clean outdoor stainless steel fast food tables and a shaded awning. Very small parking lot shared with other businesses. Some street noise. But I love breakfast burritos and when in the area will definitely drop by again (but if you like coffee with your breakfast I would recommend bringing it from somewhere else nearby).
